If I Were a Leprechaun!
If I were a leprechaun from Ireland,
I wouldn't dance all day.
I wouldn't play tricks on people,
Then hide and run away.
If I were a leprechaun from Ireland,
I wouldn't just run around.
To hide gold at the end of a rainbow,
In pots that will never found.
If I were a leprechaun from Ireland,
I'd want the world to see,
That I'm real and I'm small and I'm Irish
And I have gold in piles bigger than me!
Yes, If I were a leprechaun from Ireland,
I'd shout out happily,
That I live in the fields here in Ireland,
But no one will ever catch me!
**What do you think the author's opinion is of leprechauns and why? Do you agree?
*If you were a leprechaun, what would you do? :)

I think that the author's purpose is that a leprechaun is not nice because the author says that he/she wouldn't play tricks on people and would be a good leprechaun and let the world see that he/she is real.

The author wouldn't like to be a leperchuan because he is saying he doesn't want to do whatleperchuans do. I would want to be leperchuan because they go on rainbows, protest pots of gold and pull pranks on people, and I think that is very cool.

Another answer from me-the author's purpose is to share their pot of gold because the author said he/she would not hide his gold behind the rainbow. The author also said he/she would not run around and play because it is too silly to him/her. The author believes leprechauns are small people and shows them the pot of gold.

I think the author's opinion is that leperchauns are not all about mischeif because not all of them would be like that. I agree with the author's opinion because not every leperchaun is alike. Some leperchauns like doing micheif, some leperchauns like to be nice.

I think the author's opinion of leprechauns is this. I think she likes them a lot, but also thinks they're kind of tricky and can be mean. How do I know? Well, in the poem, it says, "Yes, If I were a leprechaun from Ireland, I'd shout happily." This shows that she likes them. "I wouldn't play tricks on people, then hide and run away." This shows she thinks they are tricky, but she wouldn't do mean things.

I think the author likes leprechauns because he would so many fun things. He also said torwads the end of the story that he would shout happily if he were a leprechaun! He also said how he would love to be a leprechaun because he would have many things such as gold in piles taller than him.

If I were a leprechaun, I would do the fallowing. I would run around and enjoy myself. I would hide in places really small, and I'd dance around. At the end of the day, I would collapse on my piles of gold, and I'd fall asleep on it. My life would be so cool if I were a leperchaun, but it would also be kind of hard.
I think the author likes leperchauns because he said he would show the world himself which means that he probably wants to see a leperchaun. I aslo like leperchauns and would like to see one.If I were a leperchaun I would tell people that if they catch me I will give them some gold, but they won't be able to catch me because leperchauns are really fast.

The last comment was from #20. IT was about what I'd do if I were a leperchaun.
If I were a leprechaun I would always give gold away. I would also buy everything with the gold such as videogames, outdoor activites, and many toys I would love to be a leprechaun.

I don't think the author likes leperchauns because he said he wouldn't do what leperchauns do.I would want to be a leperchaun, but not forever. That's what the author thinks about leperchauns.

I think the author did not like Leperchauns because he said in the poem "I wouldn't play tricks on people," he said. Also I do not think he likes Leperchauns because he also said"To hide gold at the end of a rainbow,In pots that will never found." he said because he doesn't like the gold everywhere. If I were a Leperchaun I would sing and dance and do what ever I want because I would be small and nobody could see me. Thats what I would do if I were a Leperchaun.

I think that the authors purpose is that the Leprechaun is tricky and mean because in the poem it said that the Leprechaun wouldn't put the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It said that it would never be found.I dissagre with number 22 because it seems like the Leprechaun likes it self the way it is.But it just wants to kind of evil by doing bad things.I agree with number 21 though because the Leprechaun isn'tn
I don't really think that he/she is being obvious about what they think about leprechans, I just think that he/she is saying what they would do if they were one. Although, I thing he/she has their own way of being a leprechaun, definately different than a normal one. I think that he/she doesn't like the way regular leprechauns act, and has his/her own idea of behaving as a leprechaun.
I think the auther's perpous was to say that the leperchaun was not nice and the auther showed this because he/she said that he/she would hide the gold at the end of rainbows the no person can find it.
